Race 3 winner, Daiki Sasaki, was penalised by Race Officials for not keeping his position during the starting procedure. Camponeschi inherited 1st place bagging 25 very precious points, also seeing his main rival losing ground in the championship. With three wins in Suzuka, the Italian driver can afford not to win Race 4, as the worst result of each round has to be discarded according to the regulations.
